Lake St. Louis Memorial Day Compass Draw Scramble Tennis Tournament

A full draw of 32 Lake St. Louis tennis enthusiasts kicked off the 2004 tournament season with the popular Compass Draw Scramble Tennis Tournament held from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 29, 2004. Each participant played four, one set matches.

The scramble format started with a random pairing of teams for the first round. Players then switched to new partners for each of the remaining three rounds as they moved outward in the points of the compass. Play continued until approximately 1:30 p.m., at which time, prizes were randomly drawn to all who were present.

In addition to providing unpredictable results, this format continues to prove to be a very entertaining and enjoyable social tennis event. All players receive qualifying points toward the Lake St. Louis/Whitmoor Challenge Cup event. Excellent weather, great company and good food made for another exceptional 2004 event.

The new 2004 Lake St. Louis Tennis T-Shirts were distributed free of charge to all players attending the event.
