2005 Singles Tournament Highlights

Julie Gordon captured 1st Place in the Women's Singles with 26 pts. Elly Liebert took 2nd with 17 pts., followed by Chris Hollenbeck (16 pts.) and Marilynn Whitener (15 pts.).

Rodger Hollenbeck captured 7th from Last Place (i.e. 1st Place) to win the closely contested Men's Singles final on Saturday, August 6, 2005. 8 players competed playing rounds of 7 game no-ad sets on a warm but comfortable summer day at the CA tennis court complex. The top 4 players in point totals then competed for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Place playing standard sets. Al Clark (20 pts.) lost to Rodger Hollenbeck (18 pts.) 6-4 for first place. John Ross (16 pts.) beat Curt Juergens (15 pts.) 6-4 for 3rd place.
