2009 JUNIOR TENNIS CLINCS A SUCCESS!
Our Tennis program has a long history of success, teaching the children of our community not only tennis fundamentals, but citizenship and sportsmanship as well. Our program meets the needs of our junior tennis players at all skill levels. Our Tennis pro, Donna Austin, is PTR Certified. She, along with her professional staff, offer quality, professional lessons while making learning fun.
COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
- Do I need a tennis membership for my child to participate in the Jr. Tennis Program? No
- Is there a discount for more than one family member participating in the program? No
- In case of rain: Call the Tennis Shack 625-1123 and check your e-mail.
- What size racquet does my child need? Contact Donna at 314-607-9659.

If you need a racquet immediately, refer the sizing guide below and remember, for a

beginner, Target and Walmart racquets are fine.

- What class should my child be in? Follow the age guidelines on the registration form, i.e., Beginner: age 5 to 9, Intermediate: age 10 to 12, Advanced: age 13 and over. (Even if your child has had prior tennis instruction they need to start with children their own age. Then, if they appear to be more advanced in skill, Miss Donna will advance them. Miss Donna is the only person in the program who has the authority to advance children.
- If my child has vacation, Bible school, or camp one/two week(s) during a session, do I have to pay for the whole session? Yes
- When are the tournaments? The Singles tournament will be Friday Morning June 19, 2009 from approximately 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. The Doubles Tournament will be Friday morning July 17, 2009 from approximately 8:00 am– 1:00 pm.
- Do I need to sign up for both sessions right away? No. Since there are no refunds, make sure your child likes the program and wants to continue through July.
- What type of shoes should my child wear? Standard tennis shoes are fine, but tennis shoes made specifically for tennis court play are best.
- Does my child need to bring balls? No, Our Tennis Pro, Miss Donna provides the balls.
- Do I need to send water with my child? No. Water is provided at the tennis courts.
