Tuesdays: 4/13/21 - 5/4/21
Green/Yellow Ball (ages 11-17): 5:30 - 6:30 pm
Red/Orange Ball (ages 5-10): 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Adults: 7:30 - 8:30 pm

Thursdays: 4/15/21 - 5/6/21
Yellow/Green Ball (ages 11-17): 5:30 - 6:30 pm
 Orange/Red Ball (ages 5-10): 6:30 - 7:30 pm

Spring Pricing for 8 classes:

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  • Do I need to be a member of the LSL Community Association: No, however there are a limited number of spots open for non-members. Names will be taken on a first come first served basis. There is a Daily Guest Fee: $6 per day for CA Members without an Amenities Card, $7 per day for any non CA Member.
  • Do I need a tennis membership for my child to participate in the Jr. Tennis Program? No.
  • Is there a discount for more than one family member participating in the program? No.
  • In case of rain: Call the Tennis Shack 625-1123 and check your e-mail.
  • What size racquet does my child need? If you need a racquet immediately, refer the sizing guide below and remember, for a beginner, Target and Walmart racquets are fine.

  • What class should my child be in? Follow the age guidelines on the registration form, i.e., Beginner: age 5 to 9, Intermediate: age 10 to 12, Advanced: age 13 and over, Competitive: for children who play on their high school team, Gateway, USTA or equivalent. (Even if your child has had prior tennis instruction they need to start with children their own age. Then, if they appear to be more advanced in skill, the Tennis Pro will advance them. The Tennis Pro is the only person in the program who has the authority to advance children.
  • If my child has vacation, Bible school, or camp one/two week(s) during a session, do I have to pay for the whole session? Yes.
  • When are the tournaments? Both Singles and Doubles Tournaments will be available for children registered for the Summer Program at the Intermediate Level and above.
  • Do I need to sign up for both sessions right away? No. Since there are no refunds, make sure your child likes the program and wants to continue through July.
  • What type of shoes should my child wear? Standard tennis shoes are fine, but tennis shoes made specifically for tennis court play are best.
  • Does my child need to bring balls? No, Our Tennis Pro, provides the balls.
  • Do I need to send water with my child? No. Water is provided at the tennis courts.

Our Tennis program has a long history of success, teaching the adults and children of our community, not only the game of tennis, but tennis etiquette and sportsmanship as well.  Our program meets the needs of players at all skill levels. Our Tennis Pros along with the professional staff, offer quality, professional lessons while making learning fun.

Tennis Court Etiquette

DO NOT:
  • Walk into or behind another court while play is in progress. Wait until the current point is finished.
  • Allow cell phones to ring on the tennis courts. Set cell phones on silent, vibrate or OFF.

DO:
  • Keep talk and loud noises on court to a minimum.
  • Turn "OFF" cell phones or switch them to "vibrate" or "silent".
  • Enter courts directly without passing behind other courts. If this is not possible, wait until points being played have been finished before entering tennis courts.
  • Play by the Official USTA Rules of Tennis, "Friend at Court".
  • Play a "Let" if a ball rolls into your court during a point. Return the ball promptly to the proper court.
  • Make all calls instantly.
  • Give your opponent the benefit of doubt on all calls.
  • Avoid arguments. Re-read the comment above.
  • Provide your fair share of new balls.
